TV for ICT in NYC

The TV has made a huge impact on our class. With our new ELA curriculum being mainly online components, we are now able to have two learning stations happening at the same time, each having access to all components of the curriculum. Teaching in stations reduces the student-teacher ratio, which benefits all students.

The students were so excited when they first saw the TV. They are used to us having a SmartBoard, but the TV was a novel classroom fixture. They love when it is their turn in that station. In addition, our students don't feel like they are missing out on the exciting digital components of a lesson like we experienced with classes in the past.

Since our ICT class has many students with special needs, it has been so beneficial to have this additional screen to help all learning styles access our curriculum. For example, some of our speech delayed students who are not able to verbally share their ideas can come up to the screen and point to the answer.
