Fun and Learning During P.E. and Recess

My students and I are very thankful for your donation of resources, and we want you to know that the resources are being put to great use each school day! Our school is currently undergoing construction on what used to be our recess/blacktop area. Now we have recess on our front school lawn area. Every day the kids circle up to play volleyball or gather to play football at their recess time. When they first saw all of the volleyballs, footballs, foursquare balls, and soccer balls, they smiled and couldn't believe all that equipment was donated for their use. Now more students can play rather than sit out during recess and class time!

Recently, we started our badminton unit. When our students in the life skills program saw the badminton set (bigger rackets and bigger birdies) that was donated for them, they squealed with excitement because they are able to play the same game just as the rest of the class and be successful with serving and rallying! The modified rackets and birdies are just perfect for our life skills kiddos, and seeing them smile when they play always makes my day!

Finally, the basketballs are perfect for our basketball unit and allows more kids the opportunity to dribble and practice skills, rather than wait a turn for a ball. The office supplies help keep me organized and help keep our classroom and gym clean! Thank you so much for your generous donation and considering our kiddos for your Donor's Choose project. Our entire school of students have much more fun at recess and in P.E. because of your kindness.”
