  • Building Joy in Reading in Upper Elementary

    Funded Feb 14, 2025

Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom library. The books in this cart were directly requested by our 6th grade students, and they will be overjoyed to learn that we will soon have them in our classroom. You have directly contributed to putting a smile on a child's face and helping them to build positive associations with reading.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wiseman

  • Building Organizational Skills in Diverse Learners

    Funded Oct 23, 2024

The storage bins and pencil pouches have helped students to more easily organize their materials. These materials have quickly become a part of the students' daily routine. In the first 5 minutes of class, students are directed to go to their independent bin, each of which is labeled with their name, and retrieve their materials. Students now have a place in the classroom to call their own, and to store their headphones, pencils, and expo markers. This routine helps to build executive functioning and materials management skills that students can apply in the classroom and beyond.

Not only has this helped students to learn to independently manage their own materials, it has also helped me to save on school supplies. Since students are able to manage their materials independently, I have no longer needed to buy replacement materials for the class. Thank you for your generous donation and your continued support of our students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wiseman

  • Streamlining Data Collection for Students with Disabilities

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom. This is our first time using tech like this to support our students and I am so excited to explore the ways that we can make the process of IEP writing more efficient and thorough for our students. Thank you for taking a step to ensure that every student has access to high quality materials.”

    With gratitude,

  • Fostering a Love for Literacy: Developing Readers in Upper Elementary

    Funded Dec 14, 2024

Thank you for helping me to build a “reader’s corner” in my classroom. I am so excited to help to develop engagement and foster a love of reading for joy in our classroom. I cannot overstate the impact this will have on our students experience in the classroom and beyond.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wiseman

  • Creating a Diverse Learning Environment for Diverse Learners

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

The materials donated through this project were immensely useful to creating a safe learning environment for students and helping them to focus on their individual learning goals. For example, the plastic organizer helped to provide each student a place to store their differentiated work for IEP goals, creating a new classroom routine and more organization and consistency in our day-to-day. When the kids first saw the new materials, they were ecstatic. I conducted a short poll, and many of the kids agreed that the fidget poppers and kinetic sand were among their favorite things that were donated.

These two things have served as excellent incentives and alternatives for students with disabilities who require more intensive support with executive functioning. The magnetic math manipulatives have helped students to contextualize their math skills and achieve breakthroughs in their computational thinking. Being able to have a more kinesthetic approach to mathematics has been invaluable to students with alternative learning styles, and student achievement data supports this claim. Since beginning to use these tools in our classroom, students have shown over 50% growth in math.

Myself and my students are immensely grateful for your generous donation. My students are artists, leaders, and scholars. They are creative, kind, and resilient. They deserve access to a high-quality education. Thank you for contributing to their educational toolbox and playing a part in ensuring that they are able to grow in the most safe learning environment possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wiseman
