Your generous sponsorship of our CSI Lab truly benefitted 47 gifted students who were able to solve a mystery crime scenario using biology knowledge and tools. When aspiring biologists entered the room, they were instantly engaged in the creative setup and tools for our thematic activity. Having students get into the roles of forensic investigators really boosted engagement and morale. One student even exclaimed "This makes me want to use science to solve crimes when I graduate!"

The next steps for this interdisciplinary unit involve a team presentation and debate based on analyzing crime scene evidence and collaborative reasoning. As we transition from cellular biology into the topic of genetics, students now have a solid understanding of the concepts AND episodic memory of an exciting mystery lab thanks to YOU!”
