  • New Books for My Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students!

    I am thrilled to share your generous donations' incredible impact on our students. Thanks to your support, we have introduced a variety of new texts into our sessions, enriching our students' learning experiences in numerous ways.

    Many of our donors love to read books (we do, too!) but might not be as familiar with the intricacies of teaching them. The new texts have allowed us to introduce essential skills such as critical thinking, comprehension, and analytical writing. Students are learning to identify themes, understand character development, and make connections between the literature and their own lives. These skills are vital not only for their academic growth but also for their personal development.

    In our sessions, reading has become a vibrant and engaging activity. Students eagerly participate in discussions, share their interpretations, and even perform dramatic readings of their favorite passages. The excitement is palpable, and it's heartwarming to see students who were once reluctant readers now diving into books with enthusiasm.
