  • Books, Books, and More Books!

    Funded Dec 30, 2024

Thank you again for your donations to our classroom library! My students are loving the new books! Half of them are already checked out and being read every day. I'm so excited to introduce my classes to one of my favorite authors, Shel Silverstein. I plan on reading one poem each day before class begins to inspire a love of poetry. The Wild Robot books are definitely very popular, as there is already a wait list on students who want to read them. Every book in this project is being greatly enjoyed. We are so appreciative of your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wentworth

  • School Supplies for Third Grade

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

Thank you again for your generosity! Your donations to my classroom are already getting so much use from me and my students! My classes were so excited about the tennis balls on their chairs. This has helped create a quiet learning environment in my room. The pencils, pencil sharpener, card stock, and laminating pouches are also already getting a lot of use! I've been able to create materials for a focus wall to help highlight what we're learning about in each unit. We are all so appreciative of you!”

    With gratitude,

  • Learning About the Human Body

    Funded Jun 23, 2024

My students are so excited about our new materials! They can't wait for our unit on the human body. We decided on the name Mr. Bones for our class skeleton, and the kids can't wait to learn about the skeleton system with his help!

They also can't wait to celebrate the end of the unit by making doctor badges and pretending to be doctors. Playing operation in small groups will really add to the fun. I'm saving the bone pens for a special surprise, and I know they will be so happy when they receive them!”

  • Books, Books, and More Books!

    Funded Feb 29, 2024

The excitement that my students had when they saw me open the boxes of books I received today was priceless! They were so happy about the new books that they literally jumped for joy! They could not wait to read them. With it being Read Across America week, the timing in which we received your donation could not have worked out any better. What a great way to start off the week! Thank you again for being so generous and contributing to our classroom library. My students and I truly could not be more grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wentworth

  • Books and Learning Games

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

As I am starting a new curriculum this year, having books and games that align with this curriculum is great! We just finished our unit on the human body, so now my students are very interested in this topic. They are enjoying the new books I now have in my library about the human body. They also love the learning games! As we begin our next unit on ancient Rome, I can't wait to put out my new books that go along with this topic for students to read. Finally, my classes are SO excited about our new globe! Thank you again for your donation to my classroom!”

  • Technology in the Classroom

    Funded Jan 1, 2024

We use Chromebooks in our classroom every week. Third graders can have a hard time navigating their computers with the touchpad, so having a mouse is very helpful for them. The mice I had were old, and many of them stopped working. Therefore, I had many students who wanted to use a mouse and were unable to if they were all already in use. Having a class set of new mice (plus a few extra!) has been such a life saver! Now in each of my three classes, each student gets their own mouse and their own pair of headphones. The headphones are also fantastic, and my students love them! They were so excited to see the new technology. Thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom! My students and I are so grateful!”
