Creativity In and Out of the Classroom!
Funded Aug 8, 2024Thank you so much for your generous contribution of Sharpies, markers, flip chart paper, dry erase markers, pencils, and playground balls! These materials have already had an amazing impact on our classroom.
When my students first saw the new supplies, their excitement was contagious! They were particularly thrilled about the vibrant Sharpies and playground balls, which they were eager to use both for class projects and during recess. One specific project that we used the materials for was a group brainstorming activity where students mapped out ideas for their class community service project. Using the flip chart paper and colorful markers, they were able to visually organize their thoughts and bring their plans to life. The dry erase markers have also been perfect for small group work on the whiteboards, allowing students to collaborate and share their ideas easily.
As for the playground balls, they've been a great addition to our recess time, promoting teamwork and active play.
Looking ahead, we are continuing our work on the service project. With your support, the students are planning a school-wide Boot Drive to help others in need. The next steps involve creating posters (with those lovely Sharpies!) to inform the school about how to participate.
Your contribution has truly brought creativity and enthusiasm into our classroom, and I can't wait to share more updates as we continue learning and growing together!
Thank you again for making a difference!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Farnham

Funded Sep 25, 2023Thank you for supporting my Donors Choose campaign for a comforting classroom. We have done numerous book studies using the "I Survived" books. Also, the Cricut and materials have really helped us create fun and inspiring bulletin boards for the students to see as they walk through the halls.
The Cricut was also used to help make some amazing decorations for our winter dance over the past weekend. This could not have been done without the support of Governor Polis and the contribution from the state of Colorado toward our school. Thank you very much for your continued support of Coyote Hills Elementary School.”

Funded Aug 26, 2023The students in my classroom were overwhelmed by the amount of new materials we had as a result of the kindness and generosity of Donors Choose. My students have fully enjoyed the calming activities and coloring books. Thank you for the poster boards, so far we have used them to make posters showing support for our high school and to show our understanding of math concepts. The cardstock paper was used to create poppies which will be put on display during our Veterans Day assembly. Thank you for your support of Coyote Hills Elementary!”
