The Little SPOTS of Social-Emotional Learning
Funded Jan 12, 2024I can't thank you enough for your support for my classroom. My students absolutely adore the Little SPOTS, and ask about them every chance they get! It includes books like Anger Shield, which gives a cute and kid-friendly visual for why you get angry when something makes you scared or sad; Wasted Worry, which shows how worrying about the same thing only makes you dizzy and confused; and Disappointment, which pairs nicely with Flexible Thinking to show the difference between hopes and expectations. These books have been phenomenal for explaining such complicated topics involved in Social Emotional and Behavioral Learning to young kids who struggle with grasping these topics.
On behalf of me and my special education classroom, thank you so much for helping me get my feet off the ground with the nice curricula, book sets, visual tools, and posters!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Megan

Funded Aug 27, 2023My kids have absolutely fallen in love with the Little SPOTS! One of my kiddos actually carries one of the plushies (Peaceful) around like a pet rock, and it has helped him find his own Peaceful Spot when he's starting to feel angry or frustrated. The Little SPOTS book sets have really appealed to the kids imaginations, where when we read the books every time a Little Spot introduces itself they actually wave and say "Hi Happiness Spot!"
The wobble cushions have gone over even better than the Little SPOTS, believe it or not! Though there is a decent amount of arguing for who gets the orange seat and who gets the blue one, being able to wiggle their bodies in place has really helped in improving their attention during my lessons.
Thank you so much for all you've done to help me create a safe and welcoming classroom for all of my kids!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Megan
