Collaborative Posters for Immigrant Students!
Funded Sep 25, 2024On behalf of our entire ENL (English as a New Language) class, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous contributions to our poster project. Your support has enabled our students to not only create beautiful, meaningful posters but also engage in an enriching, hands-on learning experience that has helped them grow both academically and personally.
This project allowed our students to apply their English language skills in a creative and tangible way. With your donation, they were able to design and create posters that express their thoughts, ideas, and newfound language abilities. From selecting their themes to crafting their messages, each student took ownership of the process, working hard to communicate their thoughts in English. For many of our students, this project was a chance to build confidence in their language skills, and it was rewarding to see their faces light up as they proudly presented their work.
Not only did the project give them the opportunity to practice their writing, reading, and speaking skills, but it also allowed them to explore the importance of visual communication. Many of our students are new to this country, and being able to express themselves through both words and images helped them to bridge cultural gaps and communicate ideas that might be difficult to convey in words alone. Can't Spell Kindness Without a Little Fun!

Thank you so much and understand that the students are very grateful and we use the supplies each and every day. We also read the story about kindness and talked about. why it is important to be kind to one another, not only in the classroom outside of the classroom walls as well in an outside of the classroom. This also prompted great conversation as to why sharing is very important”

Funded Sep 18, 2023Music and technology have been such a big part of our classroom this year. Thanks to this project. The students love to use technology in the classroom and they also love to sing and dance so that has been really great. They also prompted us to start a drama club which is us using the tech Ology and music that much more so. We are so grateful and we will continue using the supplies to make sure that our year is that much better each and every day. This also encourages the use of technology, which is crucial to the future for our children.”

The students are so grateful and now they have many opportunities to use differentiated seating within the classroom. A lot of our students do not like using the regular classroom chairs, so the stools and the beanbags, and the other types of seating that were given to them are so great for them on a day to day basis. They wanted me to say a special thank you for the beanbags because it gives them a comfortable place to sit.”

Funded Aug 27, 2023We are using these supplies to promote STEAM in the classroom. The supplies have helped us complete several lessons in math and science. We are so appreciative.
The kids said a big THANK YOU. They have used the supplies each day and we are grateful. Thank you again. We have been learning how to use fractions and the fraction strips have been so helpful for the students in our classroom. They love how colorful the strips are and it gives them a good visual for comparing the different fractions with numerators and denominators.”
