Funded Aug 23, 2023Your incredible generosity helped make my first-year classroom an incredible place to learn! The variety of seating and sensory tools helped hold student attention with lectures and board learning. They also created extra space to work around the room in small groups and during reading time.
Research on alternative seating in the classroom shows us that students experience increased comfort, decreased behaviors, self-regulation skills, and promotes creativity. It is especially helpful with children who have challenges with on task behaviors. All of this was witnessed throughout the year.
