Math Resources to Build Skills for Students with Special Needs

Thank you so much for your donation. With the added math materials we have been suing them to engage students in a variety of concepts. They are beginning to strengthen their addition skill which will be very beneficial as we begin multiplication. We will continue to use these materials to practice learned skills and to have fun learning. There was one students who has been struggling with number sense and while playing one of the games made a connection about addition that helped him figure out an easier way for him to add on his own. I am very excited about the real world application these materials are providing out students.

As we began receiving boxes from Donors Choose, the students became very excited. We started daily unboxing events at the end of class. The made the introduction of materials exciting for the students and made them eager to start using them.

As we continue to build math skills with these materials we will push our math skills even further to connect these basic skills with money, time and more. thank you again for giving us this opportunity.”
