The students in my classroom are very eager to learn. They really enjoy learning during their free choice learning in the different centers. I have several students that love to build with blocks. Some enjoy the Dramatic play center. Others enjoy the Art, Writing, Science, Math, and Technology centers. This week our lesson took us on a trip to NewYork. We were reading the book Abuela and in the story they talked about seeing the Statue of Liberty. We have a nice picture of the Statue of Liberty. We don't have a globe, so we had to use the smart board. It would have been so much fun to be able to let the students be more hands on. Since we were discussing statues I brought my statue of an African gorilla with her baby on her back. This lead us to began a discussion about Africa. My students are learning so much and I am super proud of them. I would love to give them all of the resources they need to grow academically.
