My students are excited about creating music because of the instruments you have put into their hands!! Everyday they are looking at the table to see what is laid out for them to discover and play. We have learned to keep a beat, and accompany our songs with the different sounds we can make with the instruments. We are talking about tone color. We are beginning to play along with written notation. We are playing games and sound stories. And, this is only the beginning!

In the coming weeks we will add the sounds of instruments to our holiday programs to show off our new skills. We will also be learning new rhythms and techniques for playing along with new songs. We are watching musicians come to life in our school, and it is exciting! Thank you for your generous donations!!”
