  • Review Books for Chemistry!

  • 8th Grade Brain Dissection

    Funded May 2, 2024

    Today we dissected the sheep brains! Scholars used both the pamphlets in the dissection kit as well as lab packet I created and provided. Scholars started off by looking at the exterior of the brain and then cut brains in half for an internal view. Throughout the lab, they identified different parts of the brain and their functions. After identifying the parts of the brain they were welcome to cut as the pleased (some made brain kabobs...).

    The scholars were so excited when the brains were delivered a few weeks ago and have been anticipating this! They were ready to engage with the activity and lab today and were able to experience dissections - which are sometimes rare due to accessibility.”

  • Calculators for Success

    Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! The rising 10th and 9th graders will appreciate brand new calculators in their science classes. Although they may seem like trivial items in the classroom, the calculators will make a monumental difference in how scholars learn computational and mathematical skills in chemistry.”
