Funded Feb 23, 2024I would like to sincerely thank you for your generous donation. This project has enhanced the Pop Art lesson here at Bell High School. The lesson entitles not only the art aspect but the historical cultural content of the 1960's and the scientific aspect of color theory. Students learn to emulate artwork from Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring, and Andy Warhol. With these light pads, students can now create contemporary massed produced images of massed produced products just as And Warhol with his 32 Campbell Soup cans from 1962.
The first day we opened the packages, the students were amazed and became excited to work. They chose more complex images of products than they would have before, and spent attention to detail. Although I was only able to order four tablets, in which students had to take turns, I plan on ordering more.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Guizar
