• Read All About It!

  Having a combing machine in my classroom is a great tool. Although we have not used it because it's still early in the school year, we plan to create books for our rainforest unit. One of the main reasons I needed a coding machine in my classroom is because I want my students to feel a sense of pride in their work. It's not the same having a bunch of papers stapled together versus having a booklet with a cover and spine. Another reason is I strongly believe that offering book projects encourages language development as students write, edit, and revise their text. I showed my students all the great items we received and they were super excited to become authors. Thank you once again for helping my classroom.”

  I want to thank you for the generous donations. I was able to purchase books that will help me grow as a teacher. These textbooks will allow me to learn new techniques and strategies on classroom management. I'm on my second year teaching and I have a lot to learn. I will also be able to plan efficiently which will help me increase student engagement. Like I mentioned on my project page being a teacher means I will be need to continuously grow and learn new things. My goal is to grow as much as possible in order to provide lessons that are engaging and inclusive for all my students.

• It's Your Birthday!

  I want to take time to thank you for these awesome donations! My kids were super excited when I showed them all the birthday goodies we received. They were most excited to see our treasure box! These donations will be used to help celebrate my students birthdays. As a teacher, I feel there are many great benefits of celebrating birthdays in the classroom. One benefit is building a community where students feel welcome and safe. Birthday celebrations also provide opportunities for students to practice important social skills such as sharing, cooperation, and empathy. Once again, thank you for your generosity!”

• Mathematicians in the Making!

  I want to thank you for these great donations! My students were excited when I shared the news about our project being funded. My students were jumping and yelling out of excitement. One of my goals as an educator is to spark that curiosity and love for math. One way to reach this goal is by proving manipulatives. The cash registers are a great addition to our math unit. This will allow the students to make connections to the real world. The kids love the doodle pads! They love how it's mess free and they don't have to sharpen pencils! They also love to write math problems and watch their work disappear. Thank you once again!”
