My Sparkly Clean Music Room!

For five years, kids would walk into my music room, some of them holding their noses, others complaining that the room smelled bad. No matter how many times I vacuumed or swept, there was always this underlying odor I could never get rid of.

Now I will fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. As 6th grade was rehearsing for their play, I noticed a student laying face-down on the floor. I asked him to get back up, to which he replied, "But the floor smells so good!!"

Prior to receiving the Tineco vacuum/mop and Honeywell air purifier, I have never had a student complement the music room's scent. Now it is almost daily. I am so grateful to the donors who made this gift possible. The Tineco vacuum is easy to use, and my students love to use it!

The air purifier is such a treasure! At first, the students thought it was a fan and wanted to stand over it to feel the air, but I quickly explained to them how it works. Since it has been in my classroom, we have had fewer coughing fits. The kids also like to see it in action as the light changes from red to orange to green.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who made this possible.
