Geometric Exploring with Fun, Colorful Manipulatives!

When the geometric manipulatives arrived to our classroom the excitement was great. The tiles were so colorful and the added feature of being magnetic was a feature the students really enjoyed.

The first few days I let the students go to the brightly colored rug using the tiles to make their own unique shapes. The students challenged each other to build the tallest free standing structure. The rug certainly helped with muffling the sound of all the collapsing tiles.
