Health and Safety

Funded Sep 26, 2023

Thank you so much for your support with my project. With your help, we were able to supply each classroom with bandaids and first aid kits. This helps teachers keep students in the learning environment rather than having opportunities to wander the halls while they find their way to the health office for a paper cut. This also leaves the health office open to address the more significant health needs and injuries of students.

Thanks to you, our female population has tampons they can access as needed during the school day. This is most helpful especially for those students that do not have the resources at home to meet this hygiene need or are yet too shy to self purchase personal items. As they grow, having the experience of knowing where to go for hygiene supplies and having walked into a small busy environment to get what they need with help them as young adults out on thier own.

And finally, Otter Pops. What better way to help build a sense of community not only with each other but with staff. Especially our 9th graders who are experiencing the newness of high school and the transition from middle school and childhood. The Otter Pop is that reminder that life is ok, childhood still exists and they can still delight in those little moments of excitement”

With gratitude,

Ms. Susan
