Today Readers, Tomorrow Leaders
Funded Sep 13, 2024Your contribution to our class library has brought new and culturally relevant stories to our classroom. Students have been excited about reading more modern stories, that mirror them and real-life themes.
As a part of our daily reading program, students have time to read independently from our class library. The new additions to our class library have been top picks for several students. The books have also reignited excitement into those who were looking for a fresh spark into reading. The class is also excited to begin a novel study with one of the class sets we have received.
Thank you, again, for your donations and helping bring fresh and new stories into our classroom!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Santoyo
This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Supporter and 4 other donors.Making Our (Print) on the World!
Funded Aug 29, 2023The printer that we were so fortunate to receive has made a tremendous impact in our classroom since it's arrival. I now am able to create colorful and printed resources on-demand with no wait, hesitation, or extra spending on my part. In the short time that we have had the printer, I have been able to print numerous colorful visuals and learning tools that my students use and reference daily like personal word and sound walls, eye catching displays of content on our classroom walls, and hands-on learning projects.
My students have been most excited to see our classroom walls and bulletin boards come to life with vivid displays of content we are currently learning. They have also enjoyed the opportunity to participate in more hands-on projects like creating and assembling a large map to analyze the "Ring of Fire" for our earth science unit. My English Language Learners have especially benefitted from the colorful printed resources as they use them daily during our writing instruction. The use of their personal word and sound walls has undeniably helped them gain more independence as writers.
We are forever thankful to the donors who made this class project a reality and are excited to continue creating several more resources this year and in the years to come!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Santoyo
