I wish I could describe how impactful its been, having my project, "Feed Them" funded.
Every Friday, since receiving my snacks, I have been able to send 15 food bags home with my students that have food insecurity.
I keep a basket of snacks and when the kids saw the variety of snacks were in there, they cheered, not just crackers now! It took time, students didn't understand why they couldn't take more than one snack. It also took time to get students to come during passing period and not leave class for a snack.
