Thank you so much for your generous donations and contributions to my classroom.
My students are bright learners and we appreciate the opportunities you've provided by giving the gift of books and soft seating to our classroom library.
In 5th grade we build on the foundations of reading. We discuss the parts of speech and apply that to help students understand how to become stronger readers and writers.
As the STAAR test season quickly approaches, I want my students to feel confident in their test taking abilities. We read a lot of short stories and answer questions to help the students really be engaged with the reading material, so that when it is time to read a novel, they retain the information they've read.”
