  • Toddler Toy Trove: Tidying Up With Tremendous Toy Treasures

    Funded Jan 5, 2024

I am absolutely thrilled to extend a huge thank you for your incredibly generous donations! Thanks to your kindness, our preschool classroom is now equipped with new toys and a shiny new shelf to store them on. Your support means the world to us and has made a world of difference for our little learners. They're already diving into the fun and learning with big smiles on their faces.

The first day my students walked in and saw a new toy shelf filled with toys they were so excited. They could not wait to start playing. The favorite toys so far have been the matching toys and play food. My students love trying to find the correct color, letter, or number to the counter part piece. My students also love "cutting" up the play food. They have fun connecting random foods together to make some interesting combinations.

Thank you again for your donation. It has made such a big impact on my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kress

  • Literacy for Early Learners

    Funded Dec 10, 2023

Thank you so much for helping my classroom receive some much needed books. Reading is so important at a young age, especially for students with special needs.

Having look and find books helps my students get interested in books without the pressure to try to read. My students love to look for their favorite characters within the different pages. These books also enable my staff and me to ask students basic questions to students that not only work on their comprehension skills but also different speech concepts.

The pop books are great for my students to learn how to count with the added bonus of working on fine motor skills. My students love to pop the buttons and count along with the teachers.

The textured books are great for students with some of the most intensive needs. Having books with textures allow my students with visual impairments to access and interact with books. Feeling the different textures helps enable them to develop their differentiation skills which will be an integral part of their education.

Lastly, the rest of the books have enabled my classroom to have more books for our different monthly themes. Being able to read books about different themes allows me to teach my students different topics and ask listening comprehension questions based on the books read aloud.

Thank you again for donating to my classroom.”

  • Essential Equipment for Intensive Needs Learners

    Funded Jan 1, 2024

Thank you so much for helping my classroom get some much needed equipment! It has made a huge impact on my students with intensive needs.

One of my students finally has a desk that is small enough for her to sit in safely with her feet actually reaching the floor. Staff at my preschool are so excited to be able to start looking for adaptive equipment to use with her so she can start learning how to hold a pencil and color like the rest of her peers.

In addition to the desk, the foldable wagon has enabled two of my students who are not able to walk or support themselves in the sitting position to join the rest of their peers outside during recess. The harnesses on the wagon ensure their safety while the zipper on the side of the wagon allows other peers to bring toys and play with the girls in the wagon.

Lastly, the switch toys are enabling my students to learn cause and effect. This is the first step in them learning how to communicate with others through the assistance of technology as they are not able to communicate other than crying and facial expressions.

Thank you again so much for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kress

  • Adaptive Toys and Materials for Students with Intensive Needs

    Funded Dec 1, 2023

I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for your recent contribution towards providing materials for my students with intensive needs. I cannot express how much this has helped my students' education.

My one student now has a desk that is small enough for her to sit in safely. It is so exciting to see her smile at being able to work at a desk her size. Her mother face always lights up when she is able to see her daughter in a desk that is the perfect size.

In addition to providing exceptional seating, the materials donated have been able to support the foundation for speech, pre-academics, and fine and gross motor skills for my students. Learning how to identify identical matches through both touch and and sight is a great start for both communication and academics. The Baby Einstein and Fisher price toys are helping my students learn how to hold and manipulate different objects. This is huge as their disabilities make fine and gross motor skills hard.

Once again, thank you so much for your generosity and helping to creating a more inclusive classroom.”
