  • Ms. Holly's Games for Growth

    My students will be so excited to play these new games! They arrived just before the end of school, but some students got to test drive them and had a blast. The fishing game was a fan favorite. They are learning so much new vocabulary, math skills and social skills. Your donations have had an epic impact on Kohala's speech program. As this new school year begins, we are looking forward to breaking these games back out and continue building our communication skills. Thank you so much for your generosity.”

  • This SLP Needs Books to Read!

    With your contributions, the speech department at Kohala Elementary now has a robust library of new books to get them excited about about literacy and language. I use these books to teach everything from vocabulary to reading and listening comprehension. I also try to incorporate a craft to create with my students. When they bring it home, it can spark a conversation that helps build their story retell skills and expressive communication. Currently, Goodnight Gorilla is a fan favorite with my students. As for myself, I will always hold Corduroy in my heart.
