Mental Health Looking Like a Snack
Funded Aug 12, 2024It is with a grateful heart that I inform you all of what a positive impact your donation has had on my classroom and my students. Thanks to your generosity, I was blessed with more student supplies, organization systems, and snacks. Students know that my classroom is a safe place where they can work comfortably, have the supplies they may not be able to afford on their own, and get nourishment when needed. It is because of these reasons that my classroom has become an amazing learning environment.
Additionally, students know where supplies are located, how to access them, to take care of them, and be good stewards of the classroom. Amazingly, I'm still in the process of making sure I utilize the organization bins to the best of their ability, but so far, they have helped tremendously! I can't thank you enough for the ways this has positively impacted my classroom.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Cardoza
This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org Teen Mental Health Initiative.Primed to Thrive in Social Studies
Funded Aug 8, 2023The impact of your giving has reached nearly 200 students in my classroom this year. My goal was to create an environment that is safe and meets students basic needs so that they are empowered and able to engage and learn. From your giving, students are now given some flexible seating options, food to keep them sustained, and coloring/paper materials for projects! We use all of the items that were donated from the project daily!
Additionally, my teacher workspace has been significantly improved so that I may also be the best teacher I can be in my FIRST year teaching! The lecture and high chair at the front of the classroom are perfect and help during direct instruction.
I cannot thank the donors enough for their incredible generosity. Our students need support from family, teachers, and community. Donors build in the local and global aspect of community, truly making it feel as though we are all in this together.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Cardoza
