Keeping Kids Connected
Funded Aug 6, 2023Thank you for supporting my students in my classroom. Many students have struggled with sitting still in the classroom since Covid so having preferred seating options in the classroom has helped to lower their movement during lessons in the classroom. Since starting preferred seating in my classroom, students are eager to come in each day and claim their seat choices. Students get the opportunity to have a preferred seating choice every three days due to the number of seat choices I currently have available in my classroom. I look forward to building my class options, so that students can sit in the other places as well.
Students also enjoyed having the access to great quality headphones to complete their work. Students' families often can't afford to bring that school supply in during the year, so I wanted all students to have access to durable, strong, and sound canceling headphones this year. We have daily tasks that students need to complete on their independent skill levels so that they can grow and fill in their learning gaps from Covid. This along with so many required tests are all on their computers and require headphone usage. Students have really enjoyed using our new class set of headphones so that they can focus on their daily assignments. It allows them to also have that quiet work time that sometimes is harder to hear with fellow classmates around. Especially with large class sizes in the same classroom spaces.
These donations will be able to impact the learning of my students for many years to come. I appreciate your time considering my project, and money donations to make it happen.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Koss
