  • Art Show

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity in providing the materials needed to frame our students' artwork for special displays. These framed pieces not only elevate the artwork but also show the students how much their creativity is valued.

The special displays have been such a source of pride and excitement. Seeing their artwork showcased this way fills them with joy, and the smiles on their faces when they receive their framed pieces to take home are truly priceless.

Your support makes these meaningful experiences possible, and we are deeply grateful for your investment in our students' growth and confidence as artists. Thank you for helping us celebrate their hard work in such a memorable way!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McCauley

  • Threading a Needle to Create Creativity Through Weaving.

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our art program! Your support has allowed us to gather the supplies needed for an exciting weaving project with my students.

While we've only had the chance to review the materials and introduce the lesson so far, the students are buzzing with excitement about diving into this creative adventure. They can't wait to start crafting their unique "ugly sweater" weavings—it's all they've been talking about!

Your kindness not only provides materials but also fuels their enthusiasm and creativity. Thank you for making this opportunity possible and for being an integral part of their artistic journey.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McCauley

  • The Glass Garden Made Through Recycling Plastic.

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

Through your donations, my 3rd grade students had the opportunity to collect plastic water bottles that we repurposed into 2 trees. We now have the containers to collect the bottles and other items we might be collecting for projects. After collecting the bottles, we use the sharpies to add color to the bottles. While working on this project students learned about Dale Chihuly an artist known for his glass art. We learn about Dale's process of creating his artwork and then we apply similar techniques to the plastic. We used the heat gun to shrink and stiffen the plastic to get it to stand stiff. This year's trees also taught students about sculptures, 3-Dimensional artworks and installations.

We created a snow globe installation that has been on display in our school that went along with our Story Book Forest event. Ours book "A Magical Snow Globe." was the inspiration for this project.

It has created excitement in the 2nd Graders as they are asking if they will get to do this project next year. Anytime a project makes students excited about learning it is an amazing thing. With your help I will be able to do this activity with at least 250 students. I cannot thank you enough for your help with this.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McCauley
