On behalf of myself and my students we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the generosity bestowed on to our classroom. Our school counts on outside donations to supplement our art room to have quality art supplies.

The students have been so excited to use the new paints and are looking forward to making their gratitude posters to spread positivity and good will throughout our school. The students absolutely love to paint it is one of the favorite activities in the art room. When we open a new package of paint they are so excited.

In our classroom we practice the TAB methodology where the students get to create their own ideas, it is so fun to see the students come up with their own ideas. The new paints add to the possibilities of their creations.”

  • Read All About It! Artists and Creators for Kids

    Funded Oct 4, 2024

I want to express my deepest gratitude for the generous donations that have provided us the opportunity to bring in some super fun new books in our art room! There is a special bookshelf just the right height in the front of the classroom devoted to books about artists, art and colors that students are free to explore. The students love to take the books to their seats and look at the pictures and read the words. Many of our students are english language learners and through the donations we acquired bi lingual books are a new addition to our little art room library.

Literacy and art can go hand in hand and the art room is a place to learn new vocabulary and concepts related to art, these books are a great addition to the art room for these purposes. It is great to have books that represent all students and people and the kids can see themselves in the books! This is also a way to enhance literacy and reading skills.

The kids will continue to enjoy these books for many years to come! Thank you again for the generous donations!”

  • Help our Students Make and Create in the Art Room!

    Funded Sep 27, 2024

On behalf of myself and my students we want to extend a big Thank You for the thoughtfulness and generosity of the donations to our art room. The students absolutely love to paint and having brand new paintbrushes is so exciting and such a wonderful addition to our cache of tools to use in the art room. The old paintbrushes were on their last leg and were in need of retirement.

The 4th and 5th grade students are able to use the paint markers for special projects and it is a big treat and privilege for them to use the Molotow paint markers in particular they last the longest and have the brightest and most intense colors.

We also use the paintbrushes and paint markers for art club which meets after school throughout the year. We do special projects in art club so these supplies help create a lot of fun creative and unique pieces of visual and three dimensional art.

    Thank you so much!”

    Funded Oct 28, 2023

Thank you so much for the generous donation that enabled us to have some fun and exciting activities in our art room!Like Leonardo art and science come together in innovative ways to enhance creative thinking. The students love to use the Rubiks cubes after they finish their art projects and it is considered a treat! Many love the challenge of solving the Rubiks cube, students often sit together and discuss strategies.

We use the Magnatiles on "Architecture Friday's" as well as in art club after school. The students love to make structures and often collaborate on their creations. Just last week they set up "dominoes" on the floor and had a great time seeing how long they could get their line of Magnatiles to be. We also have students making visual art relief creations as well.

Our students come from many different backgrounds and it is so fantastic to see them working together to make original creations and solve puzzles together. I am looking forward to seeing more in the future.”

  • Art and Choice Enhances Creativity and Agency for All Students

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

On behalf of the students and our entire school I want to express my thanks for the generous gift that enabled a purchase of a classroom rug, and much needed art supplies for the Art room. All of the students attend art class so they all have benefitted from this donation.

In our "Art Studio" we have centers where the students are able to choose their medium and create visual art that is their own idea. The students love to color and draw, make 3D sculptures and their favorite, painting. The students just love to paint and experiment with making new colors and learning the elements of art through artistic expression.

On Thursday afternoons we have Art Club where we will do special projects. The students get to use one of their other favorite mediums, paint pens. We have some furniture in the room we have been painting all year and it is a special treat when they get to participate in "painting the shelves".

Thank you again for the gift we will continue to enjoy these supplies throughout the school year.”

The students have been thoroughly enjoying the Duplo Lego's and Magnatiles in the Art room. On Fridays we open the Architecture and Engineering center and the students love to make their own original creations out of Lego and Magnatiles.

On Tuesday afternoons we have Lego club and the students grades 1 through 5 were able to collaborate and make some fabulous creations together after school. The Duplo animals and people are so popular the students love to do imaginary play and build all kinds of structures and vehicles and often collaborate. The Lego club is the most popular club at our school.

The Magnatiles are very popular and we use them in the architecture engineering center as well as after school in Art cub. The students love to make towers, bridges and other structures. The students will collaborate and make a structure together at one table, it is great to see them negotiate and use social skills to agree on what they all want to make. They will all work together sharing their tiles it is so fun to see this work in action!”
