Prepping For the New School Year
Funded Oct 30, 2024I can’t thank you enough! The students just began their second math unit. I can’t wait to use everything with them to close learning gaps and do enrichment activities. This is the perfect timing. I also have more Human Resources(teachers) who have committed to weekly small groups so students can work more often with manipulatives.”

Ms. Lilly

Funded Jan 29, 2024Thank you so much for contributing to the success of my students through activities and games that apply to their education. My students know that I love to play family-style group/partner games. They give our eyes a break from screens and tend to involve more creativity, allowing us to learn about each other. Being able to combine those qualities with learning games is exciting. It was also awesome, seeing students form bonds based on their academic strengths.
My students were shy about attempting the math activities. However, they begin to prefer some math games over things like connect four. Overtime they began to complete different tasks more quickly. They liked racing the clock to complete the multiplication tables puzzle. One day, a student said to me "the fractions war game is a lot more fun than I expected."
Your donations helped to increase engagement with mathematics, by practice necessary skills in a fun way. 70 out 120 of my students met or surpassed their goal for math testing. 40 of 120 have grown 1.5 grade levels in math. Once they understood more, they took more time to answer questions in class discussions and during exams.
Thank you for your support!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Lilly
