Kindergarten in Color
Funded Mar 15, 2024I can't thank you enough for the extremely generous gift you've given the kindergarten classes at College Gate Elementary School with the color printer. It has been a game changer for both teachers and students.
For the teachers, it has made lesson planning, preparation, and instruction a breeze. We have been able to use the printer to make name tags for our students, create fun and engaging class books that include pictures of students as a way to get them excited about reading, and we've been able to print some materials in color that engage students at a whole new level.
For the students, they have been benefitting from worksheets in color that, not only engage them, but also help them to better understand the information they are being given.
We are SO excited about all that we've been able to do and everything we will get to do in the future because of the color printer.”

Getting Creative in Kindergarten
Funded Aug 3, 2023The materials that were donated to our classroom have increased the opportunities my students have to engage in learning in an exciting way. The first thing that made an impact was our new rug. The kids were so excited to walk into the classroom with a new rug sitting in the middle of it! They love being able to identify the letters in their name or the letters were are working on that week just by walking on the rug.
The headphones have been a game changer. We use computers every week and half of my class does not have their own headphones to bring in to school. They get so excited to use the brand new headphones that aren't falling apart, it makes learning more accessible for them.
The watercolors have not been used, yet, but we are starting a unit on stories and we plan on getting the watercolor paint out to make artwork to go along with our stories.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Afoa
