Hands On Math Bonanza!
Funded Aug 2, 2023I have been fortunate enough to receive the equipment I needed to make my classes a lot more interactive! It's not only taking notes, getting the assignment, and taking assessments. I can now have the students get up and move around with the help of the markers and whiteboards! The calculators also allow ALL students to use one in my growing classes. It's also nice that they are new and it makes the students appreciate them more. Writing in notes and assignments is also important so the new LARGER pencil sharpener has also be very helpful.
Some days I also have the students write on the desks themselves with the dry-erase marker (they are easy to clean). This actually got some of the students who don't necessarily want to do math to actually try it. We had an equation solving activity where I told the students they can write on the desks and they were amazed and had fun with it. That ended up being a good lesson!
It's the little things that can pull them away from their personal devices to do math work that makes this gift so worth it. So thank you very much for having the materials become available for us! My students thank you!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Nick
