Increasing Engagement in the School Library

Thank you so much for your generous donation to help our library purchase new books and wobble feet for student chairs. Students love to sit in them during my instruction time or when they're reading books. The first priority for using the chairs with wobble feet is for students who struggle to focus while I'm teaching. For many students, being able to wiggle a little bit helps them focus on what they're supposed to be learning.

We were also able to purchase some new books; a few favorites arrived with the money I received from your generous donation. Elephant and Piggie and The Pigeon are a couple of favorite Mo Willems' books, and some girls can't get enough of the early reader Barbie books.

I asked the children in most of my classes to write thank you notes to you and I'm sending some of those letters. We didn't have much time to write them but I know that a child's thank you note is usually appreciated.”
