  • Where Will I Go Today Rug!

    Funded Sep 19, 2024

Your generous donation to our new United States area rug has breathed new life into our Morning Meeting time. Students can't wait to gather on the rug and sit on a different state each day. They learn the abbreviation of the state, it's major resources and where it is geographically. They love to talk about where they have been and where they would like to go. When we hear something in the news, they always ask," what state did that happen in?"

In addition to our meeting times, we've used it to measure area, choose a setting for our story writing, and determine natural resources for each state. But probably the best part of all is how proud they are to show off the rug to anyone that comes in our class. It makes them feel valued.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jukins

  • Bring the Real World to our Classroom with Non-fiction Magazines

    Funded Feb 4, 2024

Our school just recently because recognized as a STEM school and we are still working on building our resources. My class was very excited to recieve the SuperSTEM Scholastic magazine.

These magazines allow my kids the luxury of reading quality STEM articles independently or with a classmate. And the fact that they can keep them to add to their home libraries is an added bonus.

The "Just Write," workbook was timely as we wanted to learn how to become stronger informational text writers. The step-by-step guide was exactly what my 3rd graders needed. Many were ready to write independently but just needed this valuable resource to help them succeed.

Thank you for your kind donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jukins

  • Learning on the Go!

    Funded Sep 26, 2023

Thank you so much for contributing to our "Learning on The Go" project. Our new whiteboard paddles, markers, and erasers have breathed a new life into my students. They can write, draw and share their ideas and thoughts so much easier and often. They love using them in small cooperative groups and during whole class lessons so they can flash their answers quickly for me to see!

It has also allowed us to fulfill a class goal of helping the environment. We have used far less paper already this year and my students have become outspoken advocates for sustainability.

    We appreciate your donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jukins
