  • Building a Brighter Future for Our Students

    The book bags have been a wonderful addition to the reading groups! The students were so excited to take home their new reading bags. It was so nice to see how they were able to pick the colors that they liked, which increased their motivation to practice their reading skills.

    The pencils and the expo markers that you supplied are a welcome addition. Our students need lots of practice writing words and sentences. We are making a lot of mistakes on our reading journey, and having new pencils and expo markers makes it a little easier for students to attempt new and difficult things.

  • Reading in Different Spaces Leads to Greater Conversations

    The seats that were purchased for my small group instruction have been outstanding! The students love to sit in small groups on the floor using these seats. It is such a different way for them to interact, while reading and sharing their thoughts!

    It is so refreshing to see how excited the students are when they ask " Can we sit in the floor seats and share what we have read with each other?" and I happily can allow them to do so. It has been a real game changer for my classroom. I cannot simply thank you enough for the generosity to fund this project and support my young reading minds.”

    My students reading choice abilities. They now have books to choose from to read that are engaging and easy to read at their just right levels. They have the choice of a variety of well illustrated and interesting stories to pick from.

    They are practicing much needed foundational skills that are helping them to grow as lifelong learners. Your gift of literacy is such a wonderful change for my students.   • Be the Light Under My Students Learning-to-Read Feet

    I want to thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my students. I came from a literacy coach position back into literacy intervention. I have literally no student material trade books to read with students. Due to your generosity, I now have a small classroom library to share with my young learners.

    These students I work with daily read below grade-level expectations. Providing them with reading materials and books to practice their reading skills will close their achievement gap and allow them to grow as lifetime learners.
