Oh my goodness, we are so thrilled this project was funded! Honestly, I had little hope. Thank you for coming through for these wonderful first graders. Our class will be enriched through using these materials you're supplying! May you be blessed for your generosityand for your sacrifices for children you've never met!”
How exciting to see your generosity and care! My first graders will be thrilled to share our snacks. This will be helpful motivation to keep them on task throughout the long hours at school. You're the best!
I'll let them know of your help to provide our snacks!”
Thank you for the generous donation to our classroom! We're so excited to have the drama center funded with a new kitchen and play dishes and food. The students will be thrilled!
Your kindness will not soon be forgotten, and my students and I thank you so much! Blessings!”

We would like to report on the project "A Book for Blossoming Writers." As it happened, the publisher was unable to fulfill our order because it had already sold out. Therefore, our class was able to get some other materials that aid blossoming readers and writers. An example would be some flannel graph stories students could use to develop their oral language as they told the story, and a flannel board to display the picture pieces that go along with the story.
Your generosity is so much appreciated, and it is making a difference in our classroom!”

Thank you for your interest in our first grade project "Calm Down Corner!" This was developed as a pro-active approach to students who need to de-escalate their big emotions. Perhaps they need a quiet place to sit and be alone. Perhaps they need a chance to change activities and read a book, or play with a fidget, or draw. Here are some photos of what our classroom calm down corner turned out to be like.
Even students who were not in the "red zone" found the materials useful and fun. Thank you again for all your help to get our classroom on the right track!”

Thank you for your interest in the project "Rebus Reading and More!" This was planned for a first grade audience in a school where students are mostly from the village of Savoonga, AK. The students are bright and eager to learn, which is why this type of material can be super motivating!
The students who are struggling are also pleased to have materials that don't require complete knowledge of phonics yet. The rebus materials are attractive as well as beneficial to all students in my first grade classroom.
Thank you for your generosity!”

First graders responding to the Listening to Learn activities is a direct benefit from your generosity! Thank you! The cd players will be in use during the small group time. Students who are not working directly with the teacher will have a special spot to put on a story tape and listen to it with their headphones. This aids their comprehension and their vocabulary skill because they are able to "read" -- through listening -- books above their independent reading level.
Thank you for your generosity and contribution!”

My students were thrilled with the special snacks you provided with your generous donations! Their eyes lit up when they saw the Cheese Its and the Welch's fruit snacks are always a winner. We were able to use these healthy treats to get us through the long winter months. Having extra-special snacks on hand added fun to our daily routine and helped student engagement as well.
Thank you so much for giving to our first graders in Savoonga, AK. Your kindness is not forgotten! I tell the students about you so they will understand there are a lot of good people in this world who give unselfishly to meet needs of others they have never met!”

My students are super proud of their new soft seats. Thank you for helping to make this a reality in our first grade classroom! The students use the pillow seats when we read aloud and also they use them when we are reading individually or in small groups! It has been a very popular choice, and they also ask to use them during learning centers as well.
Your generosity is not forgotten. Thank you for providing the funds to help our reading program be more engaging, and help our students be more comfortable as they become better readers!”

Oh my goodness! The "Baby Love" project has been a true success in our Grade 1 classroom! Students have been so excited to see the beautiful, brand new dolls and doll accessories. We even have a doll stroller to use!
My enthusiasm for this project was rewarded by the girls AND boys who were sweetly and energetically interacting with the dolls. The dolls gave our first graders an opportunity to care for the "babies" -- feed them, clothe them, wrap them in warm blankets and put the to sleep!
Thank you for the service you do in providing money for schools such as mine in Savoonga, AK! May God bless you for your generosity!”
