  • We Want to See Our Choices to Read

    Our bookshelves arrived and it is even better than I imagined. The students are thrilled with the way the books are displayed at their level.

    My students can now see what the book choices are and have started to learn the process of getting them back where they go with the help of stickers, which is like the beginning of library skills. A skill I had not thought about when asking for but is a welcome surprise.

    The big book holder has made reading our big books to them so much easier for me and enjoyable for them as we all. We enjoy the ease of reading without the book being cumbersome to hold and turn pages. The magnetic whiteboard in front has acted as a story board where they can recreate the story we are reading and even stories from the past with little magnetic characters.”

  • Sand & Light Explorers

    Teaching preschool is such a rewarding opportunity. Providing hands on learning experiences is vital in early childhood education.

    There was so much excitement as we unpacked the boxes and then the jumping feet started. Some students gathered with me to explore the manipulatives and talk about how we could play with them and a few others helped hold and pass tools to my paraprofessional as she began to put the table together.

    Once everything was together we made a list of materials we wanted to put in the table. The students decided on sand, beans, and rice. Then the exploration began with the sand table.

    We also received light table accessories and we have been busy practicing preschool skills like sorting, patterning, and counting.”
