  • First Graders Want Flexible Seating

    Funded May 9, 2024

    Thank you for the donation towards my flexible seating project!

    My students love their seats, as well as the options they have. They have opportunities for movement built into their day, and I have seen an increase in focus since implementing the flexible seating in my classroom.

    Students use our classroom economy to earn our flexible seating options, which has taught them the importance of saving for what they want, versus the instant gratification of getting a smaller prize. I find that many of my students that benefit from the flexible seating will save enough points to get preferred seating weekly.

  • Flexible in First Grade

    Thank you for contributing towards my flexible seating project. My students love their seats, especially the wobble stools, which I hope to get more of in a future project!

    My students are incentivized by the seats. We use our classroom economy to "buy" flexible seating for the week. They love this option, and I find that the students that really benefit from it are the ones that continually spend their points on it.

  • New Rugs Needed!

    Thank you for your generosity and donations towards our new classroom rugs. These are getting great use by my class!

    My first graders were so excited to see their new rugs. It was so nice for us to have new, clean rugs to use and made our classroom feel like home. We enjoy using them for whole group as well as small group and flexible seating. My kiddos love the Eric Carle rug and will jump from letter to letter identifying the letter, sound and animal. The small circular rug has made a great addition to our reading and calm down corner.

    We look forward to continue using these rugs in our classroom this year and in future years!”

  • Full Steam Ahead

    Thank you so much for making this project possible. My students have loved their STEM bins for their slow starts in the mornings and also for indoor recess.

    I love watching them build and create! They build bowls, monsters, and flowers with their brain flakes. They love using the connecting straws to build forts and helmets. The magnet tiles have been used to construct countless castles and rocket ships.

    I look forward to using these bins with future classes. Your donations have made a difference in my classroom and will continue making a difference!”
