    Your donation to our Happy & Healthy School Year has brought us one step closer to our goal. We truly appreciate your support of our students. My staff and I were so excited to finally have the supplies necessary to keep our students safe and healthy. I don't think everyone understands how sick our students can really get if we are not able to keep our environment clean and sanitary. We often run out of these materials quicker than any other classroom in the school, so it is difficult to keep up with ordering these materials. Again, we are so grateful for your donation.   • Starting the Year on a Clean Slate!

    Thank you so much again for your generous donation to our classroom. The baby wipes, cleaning wipes, bags, and diapers have been a blessing and a necessity to have in our classroom. When we look at Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, the bottom of the pyramid shows physiological needs. This includes breathing, food, water, shelter, clothing, etc. When I first thought of staring a project, I had to really think about what I needed for my classroom. I immediately thought of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. If my students do not have their basic needs met, such as a clean environment, back-up diapers if they run out, bags to bring home their dirty clothes, how can I expect them to learn?

    My students are identified as being medically fragile. Some of them have critical airways and have difficulty breathing. They can become sick very easily if we do not have the resources to not only keep our environment clean, but the students as well. Having wipes, extra diapers and bags, ensures that we can keep our students safe and healthy which opens up more opportunities for them to learn.”
