  • A Calming Space Where Students Can Practice Self Regulation.

    Funded Mar 1, 2025

Thank you for your incredible generosity in providing our classroom with an extra-large beanbag chair! From the moment we unwrapped it, my students were thrilled. It has quickly become a favorite spot in our calming corner, where students can take sensory breaks and practice self-regulation techniques. For many of my students, managing emotions and staying engaged can be a challenge, but having a soft, inviting space helps them feel secure and focused. One student who struggles with transitions now independently recognizes when he needs a break, settles into the beanbag, and uses breathing exercises we've practiced—a huge step toward emotional regulation!

Beyond our calming corner, the beanbag is used throughout the day for reading, group discussions, and one-on-one learning sessions. It has helped create a more inclusive and supportive environment, where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and engaging in lessons. Just last week, a student who typically has difficulty focusing during independent reading was able to sit comfortably in the beanbag and stay engaged with his book for an entire session—something he had never done before! These moments show just how much of a difference your generosity has made in our classroom.

Looking ahead, we will continue using the beanbag in social-emotional learning activities, where students can practice communication skills, mindfulness, and self-awareness. Whether being used as a calming retreat or a collaborative learning space, it has already had a lasting impact. Thank you again for your kindness—your support has provided more than just a piece of furniture; it has given my students a safe, comforting place to regulate emotions, build confidence, and thrive. We are so grateful for you!”

    Funded Dec 8, 2024

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous contribution to our classroom project. Thanks to your support, our 12:1:1 classroom will now have the hands-on math and science tools needed to make STEM concepts more accessible and concrete for our students.

With a diverse group of learners, each with their own unique abilities and needs, having the right resources is essential for helping them engage with and understand critical math and science concepts. • Essential Classroom Materials for a Successful Special Education Classroom

    Funded Feb 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our classroom! The essential learning materials that you helped supply to my students and our claim has had such an incredible impact on our daily learning!

While some of the items, like glue sticks and markers may seem mundane, we wouldn't be able to continue our hands on activities without them! My students were so excited to get new school supplies, at a point in the year when much of our back to school materials were nearly exhausted.

Thank you again so much for your support, our class is so very grateful!”

  • Meeting Our Special Education Math Goals through Hands-on Manipulatives!

    Funded Jan 18, 2024

Your generosity has been so impactful in the classroom! The math manipulatives that to have donated towards are used on a regular basis to s assist my students learning in abstract mathematical concepts and to make learning math fun!

We use these tools everyday! The large magnetic process included in the sets make it easy to demonstrate concepts in whole groups as well as in one to one settings. I use them on the board to make math visual for the class. The hands in manipulatives give students with different learning styles a chance to interact with math concepts in a more concrete way.

Without your support, these engaging math lessons would not have been possible. Thank you so much!”
