Functional Life and Vocational Skills
Funded Sep 22, 2023It's been almost 3 months into the school year and time is flying by. We have gotten to know our classroom environment, our student needs, and developed and established daily routine.
Without a doubt, our classroom has been able to function at a smoother level because of our products that were donated from patrons like you. Our functional life and vocational materials have allowed me to create task boxes for my students. After their individual goal work in the morning, students are instructed to grab a task box of their choosing. While they are disguised as toys, they actually help students learn basic life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and assembling items. This is the highlight of their day as they get to engage in play both individually and with their peers.
Your contributions have not gone unnoticed and are greatly appreciated by me, my students, their families, and our entire community. Thank you for your support.”

Without a doubt, our classroom has been able to function at a smoother level because of our products that were donated from patrons like you. Our students have LOVED having floor seating that allows them to do yoga on the floor with their cushions, and it also allows them to sit comfortably when our librarian comes to read to us each week. We are able to gather as a classroom community with flexible seating.
Your contributions have not gone unnoticed and are greatly appreciated by me, my students, their families, and our entire community. Thank you for your support.”

Without a doubt, our classroom has been able to function at a smoother level because of our products that were donated from patrons like you. With the donation of a beautiful, washable rug, we are able to come together as a classroom community and sit on the floor to enjoy library time each week with our school librarian.
We were also donated educational materials that we use every day in the morning after students complete their independent work, and our students look forward to this time each day and see it as fun, educational toys.
Your contributions have not gone unnoticed and are greatly appreciated by me, my students, their families, and our entire community. Thank you for your support.”

Without a doubt, our classroom has been able to function at a smoother level because of our products that were donated from patrons like you. Art supplies and materials donated from this project, such as washable paints, paint brushes, and paint cups, have helped students create unique and individualized projects and crafts. We celebrated "Dot Day" and used paint to create art with all different sizes of dots. We are using the paint next to create art and decorations for Thanksgiving.
Office supplies have helped me as the teacher create meaningful and functional materials, such as a token reinforcement board for my students that have more behavioral needs and has provided more structure throughout their day.
Your contributions have not gone unnoticed and are greatly appreciated by me, my students, their families, and our entire community. Thank you for your support.”
