The positive impact of a variety of interesting, informative and engaging books is what turns a student into a lifelong learner and reader. Students have loved exploring our classroom library by "book shopping" each week for 7-10 books they'd like to try out. Students make sure to read books that not only interest them, but that feel right for their reading abilities.

In our first few reading units, students have explored fiction and nonfiction books. They are learning about text features, character traits, character's feelings, vocabulary, and more. It is will gratitude that I thank you for allowing my students the opportunity to do this work with the books and materials you have so graciously donated.”
