  • Incidental STEM Exploration

    Funded Apr 2, 2025

Thank you for helping me provide a range of activities in and out of the classroom to promote student learning. They love lessons with a science, technology, or engineering based theme. I’m thankful to be able to offer them these more often with the materials you and others like you have provided!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Welker

  • Interactive Learning

    Funded Sep 23, 2024

Thank you for the many ways that you have showed up to support my students through Donors Choose. I could not express my gratitude enough with any amount of words, but as a new teacher who has spent so much to give students all they could need for learning content, knowing you're right there to help has been such an encouragement when I couldn't provide some additional resources on my own. Thank you.

The materials you funded have allowed us to dig deeper into math and telling time on analog clocks. I couldn't have provided these materials without your support. Please know it makes a difference!”

    With gratitude,

  • Reimagining Math Manipulatives for Engagement and Understanding

    Funded Apr 27, 2024

Thanks to your ongoing support, I was able to offer a greater variety of hands-on teaching tools that enhance what my students can comprehend and engage with when we review important math concepts specific to 3rd grade. This was especially useful when preparing for the End of Grade tests that students took in May.

Without your contribution to the project, as well as many of you having supported a prior project of mine as a new teacher, I'm not sure the students would have as much variety or engagement. Thank you from all of the students in my classes!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Welker

  • Learning Should Be Colorful

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

I truly cannot say thanks enough for the ability to print in color now for my students on-site and without spending hundreds as I had early this year. On a teacher's budget and with two kids of my own in a single-income household, there was no way to sustain that kind of expense and the Ecotank printer this project was funded for has been an incredible blessing. The Human Body Projects and Arrrrgh-ays materials I printed on cardstock for students to learn with are just two examples of materials that needed to be in color and that I was able to provide my students and others' across third grade in my school. You rock!”

    With gratitude,

  • Help Rural Students Explore Reading Options

    Funded Aug 1, 2023

Your contributions have allowed my students to read a wide range of fiction and nonfiction books at their own unique and individual lexile ability levels. Thank you for ensuring that no matter where they are with reading, in third grade they find a part of the shelf with plenty of great opportunities to dive into texts with topics that interest or motivate them to read more and more!

We read in small groups and silently on our own around the room on a weekly basis, and your donation has helped to ensure we can do that despite my being a teacher early in her career.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Welker
