Organize the Band

Thank you so much for all your help. With the resources we got from our fundraiser we were able to put together a class set for all band students. This includes their scales, rudiments, concert music, warm ups and other practice materials. Students should be responsible for their own music, however, the search for music takes up a lot of time and resources we do not always have. We have seen a tremendous amount of progress in time efficiency since using the binders, folders, and page protectors. We use the binders during class and I send home music in their folders. I am so excited to further their growth using these resources.

Since we started using the resources provided by all you amazing donors, the beginning students have been able to play their first five notes in band class. They have been able to practice sight reading these five notes provided in the binders. We didn't have to waste time to locate and pass out the resources as the students already have them in the binder organized and ready to go when they pick the resource binder up at the beginning of the class. We have more time to focus on tone quality, note recognition, and rhythm sight reading . We have even started to read our first tunes "Shark Attack" and have started working on "Jingle Bells" for the holidays. They have certainly made progress.
