Starting Off Strong

Thank you so much for your support in making this past school year a success. I teach at a special school that focuses on English Language Learners and, due to the rising number of immigrants seeking support in the US, our class sizes nearly doubled during this school year. However, thanks to your support, I was able to ensure that I had materials for each student.

Not only were the school supplies, like the pencils and folders, important for everyday use, but also the art supplies were essential in helping the students create beautiful projects that allowed them to creatively express their learning (an example can be seen in the pictures I uploaded). The snacks (as they often are) were a powerful motivator in review games - and were also helpful for the kiddos on days when maybe they weren't able to eat breakfast or lunch before coming to class. We all know how hard it is to focus when you've got an empty stomach!

With the help of your generous donations, I was able to make my classroom a productive and welcoming learning environment. Thank you, truly, for supporting and valuing education.
