Flexible Seating for Attention and Focus Support

Think you so much for donating to this project. Our students are responding well to having them in our classroom. We are still figuring out what works for every student but a few have settled in and are able to attend to work for longer times and more appropriately. I was amazed at how well the beanbag chairs worked for one student. He was having trouble staying focused, completing work, and not interrupting. When aloud to use the beanbag chair he is completing work independently with less interruptions during class.

When we first began to receive the boxes the students were so excited. We started our own unboxing events at the end of class. They were so excited to see each item and how they were going to use it. Even now that some of the newness has worn off they still come in everyday asking when they can get their "special" seats. his is what they started calling them and I think it is because it makes them feel special.

We are still learning how to use each item appropriately but after a few weeks of specific instruction they are now using them more independently. I am seeing overall changes in attitude toward coming to class and I feel it has increased attention and participation in daily lessons as well. Thank you so much for your support!”
