3rd Grade Theater Production
Funded Nov 5, 2023This project was very beneficial for our students. Our third graders wrote their very own cultural adaptations of popular fairy tales such as "Little Red Riding Hood" and "The Ugly Duckling". Our students then took these fairy tales and wrote scripts which later on were produced into musicals! In order for our students to successfully perform during their musical, they needed microphones which is where this project came in handy. Our students were able to use the microphones that were so generously donated to us and perform their incredible stories for their loved ones. Thank you for all your generosity!”

Classroom Materials
Funded Jul 22, 2023I want to thank you for your generosity to my students and me. The materials you helped us obtain have been of great service to our classroom. In our classroom, we have a wall dedicated to figurative language. There are 8 different sections labeled "hyperboles, idioms, onomatopoeias, similes, metaphors, imagery, alliteration and personification". The students are able to use the post-its you supplied us with, to write their own examples and stick them onto the wall, allowing it to become a permanent resource for them to refer to if need be. The dry-erase calendar, along with the dry-erase markers, have been used for students to remember important school dates, including their birthdays!
The pilot pens have been a personal favorite of mine because it has made it easy for me to provide my students with notes and feedback that can easily be erased. I have also been a huge fan of the post-it correction tape because it has made the creation of anchor charts, so much smoother along with helping students correct any mistakes they may make. I want to thank you again on behalf of the third grade. We appreciate you!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Kleenex and one other donor.First-year Funding!
Funded Jul 12, 2023I would like to thank you for the generosity you showed to my students and me. The materials you helped us obtain have been of great service to our classroom. Part of our classroom environment includes teaching our students how to be independent and self-sufficient. Our classroom remains clean and sterile because at the end of every day, our students wipe their own desks using the Clorox wipes and Lysol spray you provided us with. There have also been a few moments where some of my students have had paper cuts or tiny injuries that require band-aids and they are able to go into the closet and grab what they need themselves.
The paper trimmer has been a personal favorite of mine because it has made cutting papers so much more efficient and as a teacher, every second counts. The laminating sheets have been the most used item we received because it has helped us preserve so many of the things we have created in our classroom including classroom job labels, our accountable-talk speech bubbles, our months, days, and year for our daily calendar, and the labels for our flow of the day. As of yet, we haven't used the labels but they will be once the time comes so thank you for helping us have those as well. We appreciate you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Fonsi
