  • Reduce Anxiety with Weighted Blankets

    Funded May 8, 2024

    Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and getting us our sensory weighted blankets! They have become a favorite in the classroom. My students use them not only for nap time but also during play or when they become upset. They are also the perfect weight to help my students calm their bodies and help them regulate their emotions. I have a few students who seek out the blankets as a comfort tool when they are sleepy or upset, especially during drop off. These blankets are a great addition to our classroom.”

  • Letter Sounds Come to Life

    Thank you so much for your amazing generosity and providing my classroom with the Lakeshore Letter Sounds bucket. These have been amazing in my classroom! My students love looking at the alphabet buckets and finding the matching surprises inside. One thing I really love is this set allows me differentiate and meet all of my students needs. While some pieces are small and unsafe, every bucket has something that the students can interact with and touch! After we do our bucket, my more advanced students love to go around and find other items that have the same beginning sound.”

  • Cozy Areas Promote Emotional Regulation

    Thank you so much for supporting our classroom. The couch system is a well loved addition to our classroom. It is adaptable to fit all their needs. Somedays it's a soft place to lay when a friend is upset. Somedays it is a ramp for toy cars to elicit excitement. Somedays it is even a place for one child to play alone in a cozy space. It has even been made into a fort when a child wanted to "hide" when they were angry.

    My students absolutely love having it in the classroom and I have even had multiple teachers ask me about it because it is so loved by the students.”

  • Homemade Books Inspire Young Readers

    Thank you so much for your support with our book binding machine. My preschool students love books. This is especially true for books that we make as a class or books that are designed specifically for the units we are studying. With this book binding machine, I have been able to create some homemade books for our library and for our units of study. My children especially enjoyed the pumpkin book we made. My preschool children have read the homemade books over and over again. Thank you again, for your generous support of my classroom.”

  • Let Your Imagination Flow

    Thank you so much for your generous donation for items for our art center. Art in our PreK classroom is always open-ended and child created. When students choose to go into the art center, they are able to create masterpieces that they desire. Most of the time, my art center is completely full of students. They love it!

    The supplies we got with this project have allowed me to keep my center stocked (and will be stocked all year long) so that students can always create art. They recently discovered that they can cut paper and make things with it. The girls have loved designing clothes. Thank you so much for supporting my students and classroom! My students are very grateful for a great art center.”
