Creating Kindergarten Problem Solvers and Innovators through STEM
Funded Jul 19, 2023It is with an overwhelming amount of appreciation that I say Thank You! As a result of your donations, for the first time, I have been able to introduce my students to hands-on STEM learning activities.
From the first day these activities were introduced, students have had the chance to explore each activity independently or in a small group. One of our school district goals this year is to increase student talk and collaboration. With these activities, the opportunity for student talk and collaboration has increased and students have engaged in great discussions. The Marble Run has led to some great problem solving discussions as students try to create complex paths for their marble to travel.
In the Spring, my students will learn about building bridges during our engineering unit. I am looking forward to using the some of the materials (Straw Connectors, Magnetic Building Sticks, Magnetic Tiles and Interlocking Building Set) to enhance this unit.
Each time these STEM activities are on our daily schedule, the excitement and anticipation grows as we get closer to the time set aside to learn with these activities. Thank you again for your generous donations!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. LeFebvre
