  • Delving into the Magical World of Harry Potter

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous donation of the class set of the first Harry Potter book for my classroom library. Due to your generous donation, my students will be able to not only dive into the book, but also analyze the magical components in our genre unit. My students are going to be so grateful to be able to read these brand new books!”

  • White Boards for Collaborative Learning and Inquiry

    Funded Mar 11, 2025

Thank you for your extreme generosity with the donation of the white boards and white board markers. For the past couple of months, my students have been placed into large groups due to the limited amount of white boards. However, with the donated white boards, my students are able to transport their ideas throughout the classroom, and work in smaller groups.

When my students first saw the white boards, their jaws dropped, their eyes widened, and they were filled with gratitude for the donor's generosity. They immediately were eager to use their brand new white boards for the classroom. They will be using these white boards next week when they work on their AVID tutorials. Once again, thank you for your generosity, my students and I are very grateful.”

  • Encouraging Reading and Developing Literacy in the Classroom

    Funded Dec 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. One of the most important parts of being an English teacher, is selecting books that are not only relevant to my students, but also books that will leave a lasting impact on them. The books that were donated allow students to delve into thought-provoking conversations, while also developing a love for reading.

Every day, my students enter the classroom ready to take on the day, with their first fifteen minutes focused on reading and literacy. During this time, all students read our class novel, and later engage in conversations about what they have read. Seeing and hearing the enthusiasm and joy with which my students talk about the books, encourages me to continue supporting my students in their literacy journey.”

  • Period and Hygiene Products

    Funded Oct 1, 2024

Due to your extreme generosity and kindness, my students have been extremely appreciative of the ability to grab freely from our classroom "Hygiene Cart." There have been various situations in which my students have been in need of hygiene products ranging from deodorant, to bandaids, to menstrual pads and tampons. By having a cart where they can grab whatever they may need, they not only feel more comfortable in the classroom, but it also positively impacts their mental and physical health, ultimately benefitting their academic abilities in the classroom.

By having necessities in a place where they can freely take what they need, they are more at ease during class. This also creates a positive learning environment in the classroom, where they feel 100% comfortable and supported. My students and I appreciate your generous donations to our classroom.”

  • College Readiness School Supplies

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Due to your extreme kindness and generosity, my AVID students have benefitted greatly from the binders, dividers, and writing utensils that were donated. They have worked on developing their organizational skills that will in the long run guide them as they pursue their academic and career goals in the future. Many of my students did not have the finances to purchase many of these materials, but because of your generous donation, my class was an equitable space where students felt comfortable asking for the resources that they needed.

When my students saw the boxes of supplies and materials that were donated to the classroom, their faces lit up with joy. They were so happy that they were going to be receiving supplies that were brand new, and that they would be able to utilize on a daily basis. With the supplies that were donated, I hope to help my students to continue to build skills and strategies that will prepare them for college and beyond.”

  • Encouraging and Developing Writing in the Classroom

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity and donating materials to my classroom. Many of my students were struggling to obtain the materials necessary to succeed in the classroom, and due to your support, they were able to receive a journal to use for their classwork. Every day, the students grab their journal as they walk into the classroom, and write their written responses for the book that we are reading, "Just Mercy" by Bryan Stevenson. The journals allow them to reflect on the book that we are reading, and also take notes that they will use to guide them in their thinking.

Thank you also for your generosity with the paints that were donated. Last year, was my first year running a leadership council within my school academy, and I noticed that we work on creating a lot of posters to spread awareness about events and to prepare for our school traditions. When the students saw the paints, they were beyond excited, especially because we were using paint that was watered down and purchased prior to the pandemic. Once again, thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.”
