  • Special Education Social Emotional Learning

    In my resource classroom, I've noticed that these little spots of emotion make a big difference for my students. Whether it's a moment of joy when they solve a problem or a burst of frustration when something doesn't go as planned, acknowledging these emotions helps them feel heard and understood. These small interactions create a supportive atmosphere where my students feel comfortable expressing themselves and navigating their feelings. By addressing these emotions in the moment, we're able to prevent conflicts and build positive relationships. It's amazing to see how these little moments contribute to their emotional growth and well-being.”

  • Special Education Oasis

    Funded Aug 6, 2023

    The new resources we received helped me set up my very first resource classroom. The students walked into my classroom excited to work and learn in a fun and calming environment.

    The binders they use everyday as a check-in on their calendar and it is also where their goals, work, and and progress monitoring is kept. The floor chair is a comfy seat for students to sit in our reading nook or to use a fidget to calm down and get back to the green zone. The SEL books are perfect and a wide variety of reading levels. The math games have been a fun way to work on math skills while also playing.
